Thompson Smith and Puxon grows Family team with new Associate appointment
Thompson Smith and Puxon are pleased to announce the arrival of Associate Solicitor Sarina Bailey to the firm’s Family team.
Led by Director Louise Margiotta, named as a ‘Leading Partner’ in the Legal 500 2025 rankings and renowned for her expertise in mediation and use of the innovative 'Resolution Together' approach, TSP’s Family Team specialises in divorce, financial matters, child-related issues, cohabitation, relationship abuse and family mediation.
Having qualified in September 2016 Sarina brings nearly a decade of experience to the role. After qualifying with a First Class Law Degree from the University of Essex (and obtaining a prize for the highest mark in the Family Law elective) Sarina qualified at a UK Top 50 law firm.
Sarina has experience in advising on all aspects of private family law, particularly when the situation is complex. She deals with financial remedy proceedings arising from divorce including same sex marriage, dissolution of civil partnerships and separation agreements.
In addition to financial matters, Sarina is adept at dealing with contested children issues and has developed a wealth of experience in dealing with cases involving serious safeguarding issues, domestic abuse, mental health issues and drug and alcohol abuse.
Sarina focuses on resolving disputes as early as possible and will always consider alternative methods of Non-Court Dispute Resolution where appropriate.
She prides herself on her client care and is exceptionally compassionate and supportive.
Sarina is a member of Resolution and is a member of the Resolution Specialist Domestic Abuse Committee, a specialist committee which covers all areas of domestic abuse related law and practice.
