Kerry Addison Joins the Thompson Smith and Puxon (TSP) Commercial Property and Agriculture Team
Colchester and Clacton-based law firm Thompson Smith and Puxon (TSP) is pleased to announce a new addition to the Commercial Property and Agriculture team.
The Colchester team has been boosted by the arrival of Associate Solicitor, Kerry Addison. Based in the Colchester office, Kerry, a Legal 500 Recommended Lawyer, undertakes all types of general commercial property work but specialises in development and planning, rural matters for farmers and landowners (such as promotion and option agreements), and property portfolios and refinancing.
She was born in Portsmouth, a Navy child, but moved to Suffolk as a teenager, attending Ipswich High School. On leaving school Kerry joined an Ipswich Law firm as a trainee Legal Executive, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1997. In 2001, having taken a short career break, Kerry decided to train as a solicitor, undertaking a Post Graduate Diploma in Law at De Montfort University Leicester and then a Diploma in Legal Practice at Nottingham Law School, passing both with a commendation. She was admitted as a Solicitor in November 2003.
Kerry says “During my 20 year career in the Law I have worked in a number of practice areas including private client and residential property before becoming what I like to describe as a “Rural” lawyer. I really enjoy the work that I do now, particularly building relationships with clients during the course of long term development projects. I have been involved in projects from the initial discussion phase, when the land in question was just a patch of mud, to completion five years later when the money is in the bank, and the site has been fully developed.”
Kerry adds “I am delighted to be joining such a forward-thinking and dynamic firm. TSP has a strong reputation for offering an effective service and always puts the needs of the client first. I hope to play an important role helping TSP build further on its current success.”
