Congratulations Stacey!
Stacey Anderson, a Medical Claims Advisor paralegal in the Clinical Negligence team at leading Essex law firm Thompson Smith and Puxon (TSP), has successfully completed the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives’ Level 6 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice and is now a Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (GCILEx).
Well done, Stacey!
Stacey, who is local to the Colchester area, started her TSP career in 2006, joining the firm as an Office Administrator following the completion of her A-levels at Colchester Sixth Form. Stacey started studying to become a Chartered Legal Executive and progressed very quickly, moving into a role as a paralegal in the Personal Injury team, working on cases involving road traffic accidents and “trips and slips”. Stacey completed the Chartered Institute (CILEx) Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice in 2010 and became an Associate Member of the Institute and has now successfully completed the Level 6 qualification .
The CILEx Level 6 Diploma in Law and Practice is the second and final academic stage towards becoming a Chartered Legal Executive lawyer and is an honours degree level set of exams. Stacey studied various areas of the law including contract law, the law of tort, employment law and civil litigation. Stacey now has a year of qualifying employment to complete before becoming a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEx).
Stacey joined the TSP Clinical Negligence team in 2013 as a Medical Claims Advisor working closely with fellow Medical Claims Advisor Jane Gurden on the investigation and management of new enquiries. Although Stacey still assists with new enquiries, she now also handles clinical negligence claims.
Stacey says “ I am really pleased to have passed my final set of exams before hopefully becoming a Chartered Legal Executive in a year’s time and want to thank TSP for supporting me through my studies. I really enjoy the work that I do in the Clinical Negligence team. No two days are the same!”
TSP HR Director Richard Porter said “As a firm we are committed to supporting our employees with their training and keen to invest in the future of the firm. We now look forward to the day when Stacey’s training is complete and she is admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives."
