The Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friendly Communities recognition scheme celebrates the work of dementia-friendly communities across the country.

A dementia-friendly community is a city, town or village where people with dementia are understood, respected and supported. In a dementia-friendly community people will be aware of and understand dementia, so that people with dementia can continue to live in the way they want to and in the community they choose.

Thompson Smith and Puxon has been recognised as ‘working to become dementia-friendly’. We are an organisations within the community that is actively working towards becoming dementia-friendly. The firm has demonstrated the actions that we are taking towards becoming dementia-friendly in order to use the symbol.
