Action against Medical Accidents is the charity for patient safety and justice. They are an independent charity which supports people affected by medical accidents or clinical negligence.
They believe that when things go wrong, people deserve to receive full explanations, assurances that lessons will be learnt, and where appropriate, compensation to help deal with the aftermath.
AvMA offers support to help patients come to terms with the effects of a medical accident, whether or not clinical negligence is involved. They have their own panel of clinical negligence solicitors all of whom are accredited as specialists in this complex area of law. Solicitor and TSP Director, Hasina Choudhury, is a member of this panel.
