Property Survey Problem

The Dispute Resolution team have recently worked on a claim for professional negligence against a surveyor who, when undertaking a homebuyer's survey on a prestigious and expensive property, on which our clients later relied,  missed the extent of damp and rot that the property was suffering from. The surveyor denied any liability throughout negotiations. Expert evidence was subsequently obtained which supported our client's position. We agreed to mediation but settled a week before the mediation was due to take place, recovering the settlement sum and approximately 90% of our client's costs.
